My Favorite (And Embarrassing) Memory

It happened when I was in Canada.
A shy wee little girl you know.
I was just in the 4th standard.
And I always went with the flow.

I was playing in the lobby of our building.
Riding a scooter and other random things.
I started playing 'Let's Pretend',
Where I was a fairy with wings

At the end of the floor's corridor
Was a fire alarm that read 'Pull Me'.
Well, I decided to obey its command.
And I did what I thought the best would be

And lo! Sirens started ringing all over.
I ran as if my head was on fire.
I dragged my scooty behind me,
With it rolling on just one tyre.

I really did not know this would happen.
I thought I was gone for, for sure
Then I saw my mother, smiling.
And yep, she obviously had a cure.

She calmly went outside
and shut the cover with a slam.
I narrated everything, she just laughed.
At least there weren't any cams!

I realized how stupid I had been,
we shouldn't listen to strangers.
Obeying all commands is not so good.
It leads to many dangers!

Ask an elder before you do anything.
Just don't listen to heart much
Now that I think of it,
It wasn't my fault as such!

There, the secret is out. Yes, this happened to me. What about you? Do you have any embarrassing moments that you want to share? Be brave and tell them in the comments below!
Ki, thank you for giving me this topic!

  1. This was hilarious! XD
Mine was probably in grade 5 when our SST teacher asked us whether we had seen the movie Mangal Pandey. None of us had seen it, so the class was silent but a crow outside started cawing, as if it was saying yes. I immediately imagined a crow sitting on a seat in a movie theatre watching some movie (I was drinking water at that moment), and I laughed so hard that I spilled water all over my skirt. That was embarrassing :P
