Unity In Diversity

Unity in diversity is precisely what
Indians have deep in their hearts,
With various cultures, distinct clothes,
distinguished traditions and a myriad of arts.

We might live in separate states,
We might speak different dialects!
But when our country is at stake,
we proudly take our national pledge.

We share the same beautiful climate,
we share the same vast land.
We share our joys and sorrows,
We are all equally gallant!

We sing our national anthem
With the same patriotic emotion.
We treasure our country like its children
With deep love and pure devotion.

Unity in diversity is precisely what
Indians have deep in their hearts;
With various cultures, distinct clothes,
distinguished traditions and a myriad of arts.

Umm... HI!! Yes, I know, its been 3 months since I've posted something, and for that, I'll apologize 3 times.

Hi there! I know I am a little too late to post an independence day poem. But I was so wrapped up in other things, it completely slipped my mind. (Did I mention, I made this poem for an assembly at school?)

Another Assignment...

Importance of Green Revolution

It was 1947 when India gained independence
The cruel Britishers had been finally chased away
The freedom fighters helped achieve this feat
Along with the locals who also joined the fray

Next, Green Revolution took place
It was during the 20th century
Agriculture and farming greatly improved
Because of newer seeds and machinery

Irrigation was made much more efficient
So were threshing and winnowing
Seeds now produced a higher yield per hectare
Framers had received a blessing!

The farmers could now earn more
This increased income of the primary sector
The GDP of India had greatly improved
Better crops are being delivered

The lives of farmers is now much better
They are able to feed themselves and their family
Green Revolution has ensured economic development
It has been printed on the pages of Indian history

Again... The school asked us to make a poem on the importance of Green Revolution in the economic development of India... Let me know your thoughts on this poem. Is there anything you would like me to make better? Also, I have introduced a new label that reads 'School'. It includes the poems that I have made for school assignments, assemblies, etc. (Just so you know!)

Thank you!

My First Poem Ever

A Bow that is Pretty

My grades are not high
But they are low, low, low
That's because I need a
pretty bow, bow, bow.

The bow should be pink
and blue, blue, blue
And it should be very
pretty too, too, too

Then my grades will surely
get high, high, high
And I will look like a
cutie pie, pie, pie.

There you go! On Ki's request, I have published my first poem ever. I fear my blog will go extinct if I publish poems like this ;) Thank goodness I've got my readers to help me grow. What was your first poem? Don't forget to let me know down in the comments!

Thank you!

Fitness Beats Pandemic

This pandemic has made our lives hard,
It has ruined our routine, like broken mirror shards.

There is one thing that can keep your mind off this.
Fitness Beats Pandemic! Give boredom a goodbye kiss.

Fitness is the state of well being and being healthy,
Don't eat junk food (not even jelly)

Exercise every day, have a good diet,
Try to follow this with all your might.

Enough is enough, we wont bear anymore,
we have been tortured, right to the core!

Go for a walk everyday, but surely wear a mask.
This is one of the simplest and easiest task.

I agree the virus has forced us to stay home.
Our working government forbids to let us roam.

Not taking the precaution, comes at a cost,
But soon the bad days will forever be lost.

Try to keep yourself busy, make things that are creative,
Remember fitness is important, it keeps us positive!

The pandemic so, so torturous. But as I said before, stay positive as these days are going to end. Thank you for reading my poem. If you want me to write a poem on YOU or any of your topic, do comment in the chat box, I promise to write on it.

Gandhi- Our Nation's Father

The father of our nation,
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi,
Led many significant revolts,
Like the march in Dandi.

He fought against the Britishers,
With solely ahimsa and truth
And inspired everyone around him
Teens, adults and the youth

Where there is love, there is life
Was what Bapu believed.
When he died in January,
The whole country grieved.

He brought us independence,
He gave us what we have now,
Thank you bapu very much,
To you today we bow.

A solemn salute to our nation's father.... Our India is independent all due to his hard work... Thank you for reading my poem...

Our Country, India

On this Independence Day,
We remember the years past.
We gained freedom after a lot of struggle,
but the happiness will forever last.

The cruel rule of the British,
            killed many innocents ruthlessly.
But they had to go away,
            Our country was finally free!

India is now developing.
It has got wonderful diversities,
and people of different religions and castes,
and lots of clean and green cities.

            Though it is not perfect,
            you should still be proud.
since India is a beautiful place to live in,
And a loving and helping crowd.

A very happy Independence day to all...

Letter to E-mails

Communication was not so easy.
It often drove our historians crazy.

Hunters drew pictures on the cave walls.
Now a days people communicate through calls.

People used to write and write
on different colored balloons and kites.

To write to the ones whom they love,
they often used a snow-white dove.

Now a days letters are out of date.
No one drops them at our gate.

E-mails are the latest fashion and
no one writes letters with sheer passion.

Writing letters was a lot of fun.
With E-mails you are on the run.

With only emails we'll go as as sour as lime.
We need to bring a revolution just in time.

Hey You! Waitie just a second!
