My Sister- Pahal

This poem is featuring

Pahal- my beloved sister.

She has supported my mischief ever since

We could count on our fingers

She is really very smart,

and caring and loving too!

She helps me feel better

When I am feeling blue

She is very good at studies

and has been since her childhood.

Her smile is beautiful

And she's rarely in a foul mood

I love you, didi, loads

And shall do so forever.

And to tease and irritate you

I shall forget never ;)

The POV of a Criminal

Tip- toe, tip- toe, I get in.

Hush! I shouldn't make a noise.

This and that, maybe a little more.

There, my work is done.

Suddenly I hear it,

The sound of my doom.

Quick, quick, GET OUT!!!

Run, run, don't stop now.

Safe! I am safe! I truly am safe!

I am sort of, er, famous

How?

I am all over the newspaper!

This is how my life is.

Independence Day 2021

आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव

आज तिरंगा फहराता है, अपनी पूरी शान से,

आजादी मिली हमें, वीरो के बलिदान से।

आज़ादी की थी हमारी, १०० साल की लडाई, 

तब से आज तक की भारत ने, बहुत ऊंची चढाई।

स्वतंत्रता मिली हमें , सत्य और अहिंसा अपनाकर,

अंग्रेज़ो को भगा दिया, भारत की मिट्टी चखाकर।

सारे जहां से अच्छा, है ये हिंदुस्तान हमारा, 

ये बात हमने है थानी, न बनेंगे गुलाम दोबारा।

भारत के उत्तर में है, हिमालय विशाल 

दक्षिण में है हिंद महासागर, भारत की मिसाल।

हमें हमारी मातृभूमि से मिला इतना प्यार है 

हमारा झंडा लहराये, क्योकि भारत ही हमारा संसार है।

Hi there! I know I am a little too late to post an independence day poem. But I was so wrapped up in other things, it completely slipped my mind. (Did I mention, I made this poem for an assembly at school?)

The POV of a Cricket Ball

Swisshh! There, I am thrown

Incoming! I am almost there

Ouch, I go flying through the air

The shouting from the giants has grown

A young giant finally holds me

He's going nuts for sure

The crowd is waiting, waiting for more

Oh! How I wish I could be free!

Going, coming, here and there

Instead of always getting hurt

and giants rubbing me on their shirt

Oh! How I wish, no one cared

But this, my friends, is my destiny

It is what I am made for

This problem of mine? Has no cure

Very well, at least I help shape history.
