Friendship (and Disappointments)

Friendship is an amazing experience,
But only if it is with the right company.
You can be your true self, they respect you
It's all 'good vibes only', and yet, crazy.

But, when you're part of this big friend group
And amongst it all, they are still divided
When they've all formed pairs of two
But you feel your friendship is one sided.

When you're always forced to sit alone,
When they would rather be with themselves
When you're just a filler, use and throw material
When they come to you just because they need help

You try to ignore it, but it still hurts sometimes
When you're lonely even with people around you
Its ok, you're amazing, don't change yourself
It'll be alright, I promise, it's true.

It's been long, I know. A lot has happened. And by a lot, the only thing that happened it that I turned 16. 😂Yes, that's pretty much it.
Don't forget to comment your thoughts and follow!
Thank you!
Peace ✌💖

Coping Up

What do you wish to do
When your heart is shattered, broke?
When your only best friend
Is now no longer close?

When you want to give up
Because you're tired and had enough?
When there's just too much to handle?
When life is sad and rough?

When your only companion is music?
When you're crying all the time?
When someone's upset because of you?
When a dear loved one has died?

When you're trying to cheer up
And feel better, but failing miserably?
When you're blamed for what you never did?
When you're surrounded by negativity?

All you can do is remember the good times,
And hope for things to get better.
Life has its ups and downs, don't give up yet.
I promise, you'll recover for sure later.

Things will get better... Hold on to that piece that gives your life meaning :)
Peace!✌💖

Trust

The feeling of trust is a delicate thread.
Once broken, to tie it again is hard.
Once tied, there still remains a knot.
Broken mirrors only leave behind shards.

Don't break your closed ones' trust ever,
Its the worst thing you can possibly do.
The guilt, regret, disappointment,
Will together make you feel blue.

Even if they trust you once again,
It won't be like the good, old times.
You'll have to wait weeks, months, years
And yet, maybe nothing will be fine.

You cannot go back to the past.
What is gone is forever lost.
Let this poem be a constant reminder,
Trust always comes back with a cost.

Heyoo!!
I decided to start a new series, 'Teenage Life and Lessons', I don't know why. Some things triggered me and I thought if such lessons could help me, maybe they will help you people as well.

Best Friends (Part 2)

The next day, she still felt horrible and sad.
She wondered if her best friend was still that mad.

A little hope! She had been forgiven for her mistake.
Her best friend helped her recover from heartbreak.

She was so lucky! Her best friend was an angel.
Helped her feel happy, made her feel special.

Their friendship was stronger than ever before.
All was well and fine, peace had been restored.

They promised to be best friends, forever and always.
They would stay together, and never part ways.

I love happy endings :)

Best Friends

They were best friends, they knew each other well.
But something went wrong, she could easily tell.

It was all her fault, she had been dumb.
And now, she felt so guilty, she felt numb.

She cried all night, wanted to take back her words.
But it was too late, her best friend was deeply hurt.

She was upset and sad and hated herself then.
Her first heartbreak, she was overcome with pain.

She did not want to eat, wanted to do nothing.
Her big, stupid mistake, that's all she could think.

She was so very sorry, from deep within her heart.
She wanted to do more, properly play her part.

She wanted her best friend back, that's all she wished.
But for now, the memories, that's all she could cherish.

Hey there! I wanted to take a break from studying and tried something new, something I've never done before. Well, here it is. My first blue poem😅😁

Part 2!!
Thanks!!

Peace!✌💖

DOUBLE DIGITS!!!

You are not just my brother,
You are my greatest buddy.
You turned DOUBLE DIGITS today,
And I couldn’t be more happy.

10 since you’ve entered my life,
10 years of you consistently annoying me.
10 years of us fighting everyday,
10 years of us together being silly.

You’ve been with me through my sad times,
You’ve tolerated my angry explosions.
You’ve made my happy days happier.
You’ve experienced all my emotions.

We’ve danced crazy like there’s no tomorrow.
We’ve sung shrieked songs at the top of our lungs.
We’ve scared each other with tons of ‘Boo!’
We’ve exhausted each other with our dumb puns.

You taught me how to play cricket
You taught me how to play games online
You taught me how to make origami
You taught me to finish work, just before the deadline.

A very Happy Birthday Rachit!
Lots of love and blessings to you.
I hope we always remain weird
And keep making each other go cuckoo.

Happy Birthday Rachit! Thank you for being there for me.
I love you! 💖💖
P.S. The image is us in a couple more years when you'll be WAY taller than me😂😍

What Do You Do?

What do you usually do
When you are feeling low?
Do you read some books?
Do you watch the rain pour?

Do you play with your pet?
Do you doodle a little?
Do you listen to songs?
Do you ride your bicycle?

Do you talk to your friends?
Do you talk to your parents?
Do you maybe write poems?
Do you work on your talents?

Whatever you choose to do,
Ensure you feel better later.
Try to forget it and smile,
Clear you mind of the clutter

Hello people! I don't really know why I chose this topic, it just popped up.
Let me know what you do to make yourself feel better, down in the comments below.

Unity In Diversity

Unity in diversity is precisely what
Indians have deep in their hearts,
With various cultures, distinct clothes,
distinguished traditions and a myriad of arts.

We might live in separate states,
We might speak different dialects!
But when our country is at stake,
we proudly take our national pledge.

We share the same beautiful climate,
we share the same vast land.
We share our joys and sorrows,
We are all equally gallant!

We sing our national anthem
With the same patriotic emotion.
We treasure our country like its children
With deep love and pure devotion.

Unity in diversity is precisely what
Indians have deep in their hearts;
With various cultures, distinct clothes,
distinguished traditions and a myriad of arts.

Umm... HI!! Yes, I know, its been 3 months since I've posted something, and for that, I'll apologize 3 times.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
There! I hope you forgive me :)
I wanted to post this poem on Republic Day, but again, I'm a month late. 😅😅 Still, happy belated Republic Day!!

My Sister- Pahal

This poem is featuring
Pahal- my beloved sister.
She has supported my mischief ever since
We could count on our fingers

She is really very smart,
and caring and loving too!
She helps me feel better
When I am feeling blue

She is very good at studies
and has been since her childhood.
Her smile is beautiful
And she's rarely in a foul mood

I love you, didi, loads
And shall do so forever.
And to tease and irritate you
I shall forget never ;)

Hyeas! I wrote this poem featuring my sister because she guessed correctly whose POV I had written about here👇🏻.

Hope you like the poem didi!

The POV of a Criminal

Tip- toe, tip- toe, I get in.
Hush! I shouldn't make a noise.
This and that, maybe a little more.
There, my work is done.
Suddenly I hear it,
The sound of my doom.
Quick, quick, GET OUT!!!
Run, run, don't stop now.
Safe! I am safe! I truly am safe!

I am sort of, er, famous
How?
I am all over the newspaper!
This is how my life is.

AAAHHH!!! (Sorry for shouting your ears off😅) I wrote my first free verse. Do let me know in the comments below if you feel it was nice.
Talking about the poem, this is similar to 'The POV of a Cricket Ball'. You guess whose point of view this is, and get a chance to feature in my next poem! (Pahal didi, if you are reading this, caution! You won't get a chance this time *waggles finger playfully😉*)
Lately, I've become so obsessed with writing POVs, that I've even created a label for it.

Comment ☝🏻, whose POV you want me to write on next!
Thank you!

Independence Day 2021

Hi there! I know I am a little too late to post an independence day poem. But I was so wrapped up in other things, it completely slipped my mind. (Did I mention, I made this poem for an assembly at school?)

The POV of a Cricket Ball

Swisshh! There, I am thrown
Incoming! I am almost there
Ouch, I go flying through the air
The shouting from the giants has grown

A young giant finally holds me
He's going nuts for sure
The crowd is waiting, waiting for more
Oh! How I wish I could be free!

Going, coming, here and there
Instead of always getting hurt
and giants rubbing me on their shirt
Oh! How I wish, no one cared

But this, my friends, is my destiny
It is what I am made for
This problem of mine? Has no cure
Very well, at least I help shape history.

There. Its been almost a month since I posted a new poem. Whose point of view do you think this is? Here's a hint: Only a small thing would call something bigger a giant! Do let me know in the comments below. The one who gets it correct, gets a feature in one of my upcoming poems!!!

Another Assignment...

Importance of Green Revolution

It was 1947 when India gained independence
The cruel Britishers had been finally chased away
The freedom fighters helped achieve this feat
Along with the locals who also joined the fray

Next, Green Revolution took place
It was during the 20th century
Agriculture and farming greatly improved
Because of newer seeds and machinery

Irrigation was made much more efficient
So were threshing and winnowing
Seeds now produced a higher yield per hectare
Framers had received a blessing!

The farmers could now earn more
This increased income of the primary sector
The GDP of India had greatly improved
Better crops are being delivered

The lives of farmers is now much better
They are able to feed themselves and their family
Green Revolution has ensured economic development
It has been printed on the pages of Indian history

Again... The school asked us to make a poem on the importance of Green Revolution in the economic development of India... Let me know your thoughts on this poem. Is there anything you would like me to make better? Also, I have introduced a new label that reads 'School'. It includes the poems that I have made for school assignments, assemblies, etc. (Just so you know!)

Thank you!

My First Poem Ever

A Bow that is Pretty

My grades are not high
But they are low, low, low
That's because I need a
pretty bow, bow, bow.

The bow should be pink
and blue, blue, blue
And it should be very
pretty too, too, too

Then my grades will surely
get high, high, high
And I will look like a
cutie pie, pie, pie.

There you go! On Ki's request, I have published my first poem ever. I fear my blog will go extinct if I publish poems like this ;) Thank goodness I've got my readers to help me grow. What was your first poem? Don't forget to let me know down in the comments!

Thank you!

How It All Started

We were given an assignment in school,
'Create a poem using your creativity'
The topic had already come to my mind.
I had thought 'A Bow that is Pretty!'

Now, the poem seems a little lame.
Obviously, I was only a kiddie.
My pencil flew across the page.
Ta- da! The poem was ready!

My teacher mentioned it specially!
Could be, she liked it a lot.
I began developing interest,
I started making poems with simply a thought.

My parents guided me to the next step.
My very own blog, yes, mine!
I had fallen in love with (making) poems.
The idea suited me just fine.

September was the month it started.
I was feeling giddy inside.
It was christened 'Mahi's Words'
My heart had swollen with pride.

Its been 2 years now.
My blog has gained popularity (I hope!)
I feel happy the way it started
with 'A Bow that is Pretty'

Yes, this is how it started. I was in the fifth grade, with Tanya ma'am as our English teacher. She gave birth to my love for making poems. My parents? They took it forward. Kudos to all of them. Of course, also to all my lovely readers who have supported me so far!

(Ironically, I absolutely hate understanding poems written by superlyamazingly deep poets, like Robert Frost. Not that he is not great, just doesn't suit my mood. You too? Mention in the comments below!)

Thank you!

Personalities

There are as many people in the world
As many on Earth there are creatures
Humans have different personalities,
Along with distinctive features.

Some are sharp like my sister, Pahal,
Or like my friend, Durva, are humorous.
Some trust only one to keep secrets.
While some others have confidantes numerous!

Some like to write poems or stories,
Others want to paint and draw.
Some are aspiring engineers
Others are interested in law

Some people are quiet and silent
Some are superouslyultra- jumpy
Some want to visit Paris
Others go for Hampi!

We should respect everyone's qualities
They are, after all, humans only
Never ignore anyone around you
Make sure that they don't feel lonely

Let them know you care
'Cause everyone is their own self
Encourage their special talents
Don't forget to be yourself!

Hey there! I hope you liked the poem. As promised, the winner of the  riddle from my previous poem, Durva has been given a special mention. So has Pahal who made several attempts. If want to get featured, look out for my upcoming poems! You might get a chance yourself. Don't forget to tell me which line of my poem matches your personality. And if none does, mention it down!
Don't forget to follow and comment!

Thanks!

The Small Little Things

A walk by the beach
A chocolate to eat
A game of cards
A bird that goes 'tweet'!

A little poetry
A genuine like
A friend to share secrets with
A peaceful mountain hike

A laugh now and then
A little TV time
A coo from a baby
A tinkling wind chime

A lick from a puppy
A kiss from a cat
These small things make me happy
No reason, just like that :)

Making this poem made me feel giddy inside, I would like to thank Ki for giving me this topic and always supporting me.
And now you have a chance of appearing in my future poem. The first person to solve the riddle below and comment gets a feature in any upcoming poem. (That is if I know you!)
What is the shortest word that is a sentence in itself on the English language?
Be true and don't google it!
Thank you!

The Wildest Fantasies

Have you ever thought or imagined,
how humans with 4 eyes would look?
or if animals could talk and speak,
and so could our beloved books!

If we could fly oh so high
and talk to non living things
Or lived in the blue sky,
with pigeons as our kings!

If we had 8 days in a month,
and 2 in each week,
if lions were afraid of rats,
so tiny, timid and meek?

If we were born with white hair,
and our mouth had replaced our nose,
If lotuses were an ugly green,
and we could find a golden rose!

Imagining doesn't hurt no one,
It is the key to many a-door,
It helps me write poems like this,
and makes me wild more!

What is your wildest fantasy? Riding unicorns? Or is it eating transparent popcorn? Do let me know in the comments below! Don't forget comment and subscribe for frequent updates!
Thanks!
